Dreaming of an Italian Wedding?

Are you dreaming of a fairy tale wedding in Italy? Well.. who doesn't dream of getting married surrounded by the rolling hills of Tuscany? Need I say more? We present to you, Irene, the founder of FairyTale Italy Weddings. She has been planning extraordinary weddings in Tuscany for 10 years. Her website is absouletly gorgeous and we think you will love it too. We had a little Q&A with her to ask some questions you might have. It went like this: Q: Can you share the story behind the founding of your wedding planning business? I’ve been working in the wedding industry for 10 years now. I was Event Manager in a 5 stars hotels in Florence for 7 years, that’s where I learnt how to plan and manage events of different types. Not only weddings but also birthday parties, anniversaries, baby’s showers, small corporate meetings etc. Weddings caught my attention and I started to think about quitting my job to become a wedding planner. This took me few years, I was mainly worried about not finding suppliers for my business. At a certain point, I decided to leave my job. This was the best decision ever and my business had excellent results from the beginning due to my expertise and past experience in the industry. Q: Can you share a memorable wedding moment that showcases the essence of your services? I think receiving hugs and compliments from our couples and their guests is what makes me proud of the work we did. Q: As a fellow female business owner (and mom) I understand the demands that having your own business comes with. How do you manage your work/life balance? It’s not easy to incorporate family with our job, especially when you are a female. Planners don’t have fixed times, we work 7/7 days a week, even during weekends, bank holidays, in the evening and at night. We’re not good housewives I’d say, I don’t find a lot of time to cook, clean the house or other. When we are less busy, we try to dedicate some time to our closest ones but our families need to be aware that we love our job as much as them. As a female entrepreneur, it’s a little bit harder to start a business. But, if that’s really what you want, nothing can stop a woman. Q: How do you believe collaborating with Tripsitta will benefit your clients? Sometimes our couples and guests bring small children with them to weddings. We always recommend having a babysitter to take care of them so everyone can enjoy the reception. Tripsitta provides experienced nannies that speak English (or other languages) to take care of babies. Parents can trust them and make sure that their children are in good hands. Q: What do you enjoy most about being a wedding planner? I love helping couples to plan their best day ever and make them happy. Moreover, I like meeting new couples and creating new designs and floral arrangements for every wedding. Every event is different and this is very exciting for me. Q: Where do most of your clients come from? Most of them are from the US and UK. Every now and then we have couples coming from other European countries, Australia, India, Dubai or other. Q: What are the most desirable locations for a Tuscan wedding? That’s hard to answer to this. Tuscany has more than 1000 wedding venues, they’re so many and it’s hard to choose even for us. There are farmhouses, country houses, villas, castles, hotels,… Our region offers so many beautiful places! Q: What are the Italian wedding day traditions? At the end of the ceremony, when the newlyweds walk back the aisle, we usually throw some rice. While at the end of the day, when guests leave, couples give some wedding favours to their guests. We call them bomboniere and, as per our tradition, they have sugared almonds inside (called confetti in Italian). It’s a way of thanking guests for being there on such an important day. There you have it! Please take a look at Irene's beautiful website and reach out to her for further information. We hope you enjoy the wedding of your dreams with FairyTale Italy Weddings

Tripsitta of the month - March 2023

And this November the Tripsitter of the month is... Alicia, from our Paris team! Alicia is a brilliant nanny/babysitter, originally from Spain, but based in Paris. Born in Tenerife, Canary Islands, and with also an English heritage, which makes her bilingual in both languages. She also speaks a bit of French. Alicia has 6+ years of experience within a childcare environment and with children aged between 8 months old and 11 years old. She has been working as a babysitter with us since 2021 and we only heard good things about her - in fact, Alicia is the candidate that received more positive reviews of all our teams in Europe! She is a very proactive candidate; someone who likes to play with all children and engage with them by creating fun activities. We couldn't be happier of having her in our team and we hope to keep living exciting experiences together! As a thank you from all the Tripsitta Team we are offering Alicia an Amazon voucher of 50 EUR! Congratulations again Alicia for being the Tripsitter of the Month! Keep it up!
